Series Recap: St. Louis Cardinals 5/29 - 5/31
The Dodgers lost the series against the Cardinals 2-1. Here is how the series went.

Friday | Loss: The Dodgers lost to the Cardinals in the opener 3-0. Offensively, the team was quiet. The only extra base hit was a double by Jimmy Rollins. Howie Kendrick grounded into a double play and the team left six men on base.
Defensively, the team didn't do the best. Justin Turner had a fielding error but the team turned a 4-6-3 double play. Mike Bolsinger started the game and pitched six innings. He gave up two runs, seven hits, three walks, and struck out three batters. He was charged with the loss.
Saturday | Win: The Dodgers won 5-1. Offensively, the team found their groove. Justin Turner hit a double and Yasmani Grandal hit a homerun. Howie Kendrick, Yasmani Grandal, and Alberto Collaspo all had RBI's; Grandal had a two-out RBI. Jimmy Rollins grounded into a double play and the team left seven men on base.
Defensively, the Dodgers did better; only holding the Cardinals to one run in the first inning. Howie Kendrick and Scott Van Slyke both had a fielding error but Van Slyke also had an outfield assist. The team also turned three double plays; a 5-4-3, a 6-4-3, and a 6-3 double play. Carlos Frias started the game and pitched seven innings. He gave up one run, five hits, two walks and struck out three batters. He was awarded the win.
Sunday | Loss: The Dodgers lost to the Cardinals 3-1. The offense was supressed again; only getting two hits out of the game. One of the two hits was a homerun by Joc Pederson that gave the Dodgers their one run; this was also the only extra base hit and RBI. The team left six runners on base.
Defensively, the Dodgers did okay; there were some good plays but not enough to hold the Cardinals. Andre Ethier and Kike Hernandez both had outfield assists while the Dodgers turned two double plays; a 9-3 and a 6-4-3 double play. Brett Anderson started the game and pitched six innings. He gave up two runs, five hits, one homerun, three walks, and struck out five batters. He was charged with the loss.

Series Recap: Atlanta Braves 5/25 - 5/27
The Dodgers could not complete the sweep against the Atlanta Braves after dropping the final game.

Monday | Win: The Dodgers beat the Atlanta Braves 6-3. The offense did better than usual, although it took until the eighth inning for the Dodgers to score most of their runs. Joc Pederson had a double in the game while Andre Ethier, Alex Guerrero and Jimmy Rollins all had homeruns. Andre Ethier, Adrian Gonzalez, Alex Guerrero, and Jimmy Rollins all had RBI's. Scott Van Slyke grounded into a double play and the team left ten men on base.
Defensively, the team did fairly well. Brett Anderson picked off a runner and the team turned a 6-4-3 double play. Brett Anderson started the game; he pitched seven innings, gave up two runs, seven hits, two walks and struck out three batters. Adam Liberatore pitched the eighth inning and was awarded the win.
Tuesday | Win: The Dodgers beat the Braves 8-0. Offensively, the team did very well. Alex Guerrero, Howie Kendrick, Andre Ethier, and AJ Ellis all had doubles while Adrian Gonzalez had a homerun. Howie Kendrick, Justin Turner, Andre Ethier, AJ Ellis, Clayton Kershaw and Adrian Gonzalez all contributed RBI's to this game; Kershaw's was a two-out RBI. However, the team did make some mistakes on offense. Jimmy Rollins was caught stealing and Alex Guerrero was picked off at second base. Clayton Kershaw also grounded into a double play and the team left one runner on base.
Defensively, the Dodgers did well, holding the Braves to no runs but there also were a couple of mistakes. Howie Kendrick had one fielding error. Clayton Kershaw started the game and pitched seven innings. He gave up zero runs, four hits and struck out ten batters. He was awarded the win.
Wednesday | Loss: The Dodgers lost to the Braves 3-2. Offensively the team did okay; it was very quiet. Alex Guerrero hit a homerun in the ninth inning. Justin Turner and Alex Guerrero had RBI's and Alex Guerrero grounded into a double play. Justin Turner's RBI was a two-out RBI. Zack Greinke also stole second base in the first inning. The team left six men on base.
Defensively, the Dodgers did pretty well. The team turned a 2-6-4 double play. Zack Greinke started the game and pitched six innings. He gave up one run, three hits, one homerun, two walks and struck out nine batters. Adam Liberatore pitched the eighth inning and gave up two runs.
The Dodgers next series is against the St. Louis Cardinals in St. Louis.
Trade Alert: Dodgers Trade with the Braves
It's a sad day in Dodgertown; Juan Uribe has officially been traded to the Atlanta Braves. The deal was sealed today after days of on and off reports.
The deal included Chris Withrow from the Dodgers; and the Dodgers received four players from the Braves

Series Recap: San Diego Padres 5/22 - 5/24
The Dodgers won their three game series with the Padres 2-1 after losing the final game 11-3. Here's how the weekend went.

Friday | Win: The Dodgers beat the Padres 2-1 in a very quiet ball game. Offensively, the Dodgers were quiet again, but still made enough of an impact to score some runs. Andre Ethier had a double and Joc Pederson had a homerun in the eighth inning. Both Andre Ethier and Joc Pederson had an RBI as well. Justin Turner also grounded into a double play and the team left four men on base.
Defensively, the team did well; only one run was given up. Zack Greinke started the game. He pitched 7.2 innings gave up one run, six hits, one alk and struck out five. Chris Hatcher pitched the last out of the eighth and was awarded the win. Kenley Jansen pitched the ninth and recorded a save.
Saturday | Win: The Dodgers beat the Padres 2-0. Offensively, the team wasn't loud but they got the job done. Justin Turner hit a double and Joc Pederson hit a homerun. Justin Turner and Joc Pederson both had RBI's as well. Jimmy Rollins had two stolen bases in the fifth inning. The Dodgers left four men on base.
Defensively, the Dodgers did very well. The team only faced the minimum 27 batters. The team turned a 4-6-3 double play in the first inning after the only hit was given up. Mike Bolsinger started the game and pitched 8 innings. He gave up only one hit and struck out eight batters. Kenley Jansen pitched the ninth inning and recorded another save.
Sunday | Loss: The Dodgers lost to the Padres 11-3. The offense was quiet. The only extra bases hit was a two-run homerun from Alex Guerrero; he also had the only RBI's. Both Howie Kendrick and Andre Ethier grounded into double plays. The Dodgers left two men on base.
Defensively, the Dodgers didn't do too well. There were some good plays but eleven runs were given up. Austin Barnes had a putout and Kike Hernandez had an outfield assist. The team also turned a 4-6-3 double play. Carlos Frias started the game and only pitched four innings. He gave up ten runs, twelve hits, two homeruns, two walks and didn't strike out one batter. He recorded the loss. The bullpen did a good job at surpressing the Padres offense, with Juan Nicasio giving up only one run in the eighth inning.

Series Recap: San Francisco Giants 5/19 - 5/21
The Dodgers were swept, and shut out, by the Giants in San Francisco. The Dodgers offense was suppressed and the team couldn't muster up one run. Here's how the series went.

Tuesday | Loss: The Dodgers were shut out by the Giants 2-0. Offensively, the team was very quiet. Joc Pederson had the only extra bases hit, hitting a double. Scott Van Slyke was caught stealing and was also put out by Sergio Romo. The team left eleven men on base.

Series Recap: Colorado Rockies 5/14 - 5/17
The Dodgers split their four game series with the Rockies 2-2. Here's how they did this weekend.

Thursday | Loss: The Dodgers lost to the Rockies 5-4. The weather was not the best throughout the game, and there was a one hour and twenty five minute rain delay that began at the top of the sixth inning. Offensively the team did fairly well, they just couldn't get ahead of the Rockies. Jimmy Rollins, Adrian Gonzalez, Andre Ethier, and Brett Anderson all had doubles. Adrian Gonzalez, Brett Anderson and Yasmani Grandal had RBI's; Grandal had a two-out RBI. Justin Turner had a stolen base while Adrian Gonzalez was caught stealing. The team left 10 men on base.
Defensively, the team did alright. Jimmy Rollins had a fielding error at shortstop. Brett Anderson started for the Dodgers he pitched 5.1 innings (up until the rain delay), gave up two runs, five hits, one homerun, one walk and struck out eight. Yimi Garcia, who pitched the ninth inning, gave up the other three runs and was given the loss.
Friday | Win: The Dodgers beat the Rockies 6-4; and Clayton Kershaw got his 100th career win! Justin Turner and Jimmy Rollins both had doubles, and Jimmy Rollins also had a homerun. Clayton Kershaw had a sacrifice bunt as well. Justin Turner, Andre Ethier, and Jimmy Rollins all had RBI's, Rollins had a two-out RBI. On the downside, Adrian Gonzalez and Jimmy Rollins both grounded into double plays. Howie Kendrick was also put out by Colorado Rockies starter, Eddie Butler. The Dodgers left 10 men on base.
Defensively, the Dodgers did fairly well. Yasmani Grandal had a passed ball. Clayton Kershaw started the game, he pitched 6.2 innings. He gave up three runs, four hits, three walks and struck out ten batters. Juan Nicasio pitched the final innning and recorded the save.

Defensively, the Dodgers only had one error, but still gave up seven runs. Alex Guerrero had a fielding error. Zack Greinke started the game; he pitched six innings, giving up one run, four hits, one homerun, and struck out five. Sergio Santos came in and pitched two innings, he gave up five of the seven runs. Paco pitched the ninth and gave up the seventh run. Zack Greinke was still given the loss; snapping his undefeated record.

Defensively, the team did very well. Mike Bolsinger started for the Dodgers and pitched six innings. He gave up only three hits and two walks; he struck out six. Yimi Garcia, Chris Hatcher, and Kenley Jansen followed and closed out the game, all pitching an inning a piece.

Series Recap: Miami Marlins 5/11 - 5/13
The Dodgers could not complete the sweep against the Miami Marlins, only winning two of three games at home. Here is how the team did.

Monday | Win: The Dodgers beat the Marlins 5-3. Offensively, the Dodgers did pretty well. Howie Kendrick and Scott Van Slyke both hit doubles, while Scott Van Slyke also hit a homerun. Scott Van Slyke was only a triple shy of the cycle! Justin Turner, Scott Van Slyke, and Joc Pederson all had RBI's in this game; Pederson had a two-out RBI. Greinke also hit a sacrifice bunt. Howie Kendrick, Andre Ethier, Adrian Gonzalez, Alex Guerrero, Yasmani Grandal, and Scott Van Slyke all had RBI's. Scott Van Slyke also hit a sacrifice fly during the game. The Dodgers also left twelve men on base.

Series Recap: Colorado Rockies 5/8 - 5/10
The Dodgers had an interesting road trip in Colorado; playing only a game and a half with one of them being postponed entirely.
Friday | Win (F/6): The Dodgers beat the Rockies 2-1, after 5.1 innings of play. The game was called due to rain. Offensively, the Dodgers did pretty well. Adrian Gonzalez had a double and Joc Pederson stole second base. Adrian Gonzalez and Yasmani Grandal both had RBI's and Grandal also had a sacrifice fly. Jimmy Rollins was caught stealing, Uribe grounded into a double play, and the team left five men on base.
Defensively, the Dodgers had one error by Alex Guerrero however the team also turned a 4-6-3 double play. Brett Anderson pitched all 5 innings and, technically, pitched a complete game. This complete game is the first of the 2015 season. He gave up one run, six hits, one walk and struck out one.
Saturday | Postponed: Saturday night's game was cancelled due to rain in Colorado. Instead, per the Dodgers, they will play a day-night double header, 12:10pm/5:40pm PT, in Colorado to make up the game.
Sunday | Win: The Dodgers beat the Rockies 9-5 after giving up five runs in the fourth inning. Offensively, the team did well; mostly after the fifth inning. Alex Guerrero and Adrian Gonzalez both had doubles while Justin Turner hit a two run homerun. Kike Hernandez, AJ Ellis, Adrian Gonzalez, Justin Turner and Howie Kendrick all had RBI's in this game; AJ Ellis' RBI was a two-out RBI. Ellis also had a sacrifice bunt while Gonzalez hit a sacrifice fly. Ellis also hit into double play and the team left eight men on base.
Defensively, the team faired well. There were no errors but balls were hit into gaps allowing the Rockies to score five runs off of starter Clayton Kershaw. Kershaw pitched 5.2 innings, gave up five runs, eight hits, four walks and struck out five batters. Baez came in after him, pitched 1.1 innings, gave up one hit and struck out one; he was also awarded the win.

Series Recap: Milwaukee Brewers 5/4 - 5/7
The Dodgers split this series with the Milwaukee Brewers down the middle, 2-2. When they won, they ran away with it but when they lost it was somewhat to pretty close. Here's how it turned out.

Monday | Loss: On Monday the Dodgers lost 4-3 after leading the Brewers up until the 8th inning. Offensively, Yasmani Grandal was hot. Grandal had a double and two singles. Joc Pederson also hit a homerun in this game and Adrian Gonzalez was hit by a pitch. Joc Pederson, Yasmani Grandal and Juan Uribe all had RBI's in this game and the Dodgers left nine men on base.
Defensively, the Dodgers had one error, Kershaw made an error trying to pick off a runner. Kershaw pitched 7.1 innings, gave up three runs, five hits, one home run, and struck out eight. Chris Hatcher came in for relief, gave up the fourth run and was charged with the loss.
Tuesday | Win: The Dodgers beat the Brewers 8-2 and Zack Greinke is still undefeated! Offensively, the Dodgers did very well. Yasmani Grandal and Zack Greinke both had doubles while Justin Turner, Jimmy Rollins, and Adrian Gonzalez each hit a homerun. Justin Tunrner, Jimmy Rollins, and Adrian Gonzalez al had RBI's as well. The Dodgers left seven men on base.
Defensively, the Dodgers had only one error and a double play. Joc Pederson had a fielding error while the team also turned a 5-4-3 double play. Greinke pitched 7.2 innings and gave up one run, two hits, two walks and struck out seven. Pedro Baez came in to pitch the last out of the 8th and didn't give up anything. Daniel Coulumbe closed the ninth and gave up one run, one hit and one walk.
Wednesday | Loss: The Dodgers lost to the Brewers 6-3, after the Brewers scored five runs in the first inning. Offensively, the Dodgers didn't do the best. Adrian Gonzalez hit a double and Joc Pederson hit another homerun! Joc Pederson was the only Dodger to hit an RBI and the team left four men on base throughout the game. Also, Scott Van Slyke grounded into a double play.
Defensively, the Dodgers did well, there were no errors but the Brewers did score five runs in the first inning. Joe Wieland started for the Dodgers and pitched 4.2 innings. He gave up all six runs, six hits, two homeruns, four walks and struck out two batters. He was charged with the loss.

Series Recap: Arizona Diamondbacks 5/1 - 5/3
With the Dodgers coming off of a series win, at home, with the Giants; the Dodgers continued their home stand against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
Friday | Win: The Dodgers shut out the Diamondbacks 8-0. This game was full of offense for the Dodgers, including three home runs one of which was a grand slam! The major hits in this game were the three homeruns from Justin Turner, Joc Pederson (grand slam), and Andre Ethier. Joc Pederson hit his first career grand slam!Justin Turner, Joc Pederson, Andre Ethier, and Scott Van Slyke all had RBI's in this game. The Dodgers only left four men on base.
Defensively, the Dodgers didn't do too badly; they did shut out the Diamondbacks. Jimmy Rollins did commit an error at shortstop, but that was the only error from the Dodgers. On the other side; the Dodgers also turned a 5-4-3 double play. Frias pitched 5.1 innings, gave up four hits, one walk and struck out three. He was awarded the win.

Defensively, the Dodgers did very well. There were no errors and Scott Van Slyke had an assist, to get Pennington out at second base, from left field. Scott Baker started for the Dodgers and pitched four innings. He gave up the four runs, and also gave up seven hits, two homeruns, one walk, and also struck out two. Juan Nicasio came in after Baker, pitched three innings, gave up nothing and struck out two, got the win for tonight. Garcia came in for an inning, gave up a walk and struck out one. Lastly, was Chris Hatcher gave up two hits but got the save.

The Dodgers left seven men on base.
Defensively, the Dodgers did well. They had no errors and shut out the Diamondbacks again. They also turned two 6-4-3 double plays and a 6-3 double play. Brett Anderson started for the Dodgers today and pitched six innings, gave up five hits and struck out four. From the 7th inning on, the Ddgers used seven more pitchers until they secured the win. JP Howell pitched the 13th inning and was awarded the win.
