Series Recap: Milwaukee Brewers 7/10 - 7/12


The Dodgers ended the first half of the season on a high note against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Record | 51-39

Friday | Win: The Dodgers beat the Brewers 3-2. Offensively, the team did pretty well. Joc Pederson had the only extra-base hit with a double. Andre Ethier and Joc Pederson were the only two with RBI's; both with two-out RBI's. Yasiel Puig stole second base and Jimmy Rollins stole second base. Alex Guerrero grounded into a double play, and the team left six men on base.

Defensively, the team did alright. Mike Bolsinger started the game and pitched six innings. He gave up two runs, four hits, one walk and struck out six batters. Chin-hui Tsao pitched the seventh inning and was awarded the win. Kenley Jansen pitched the ninth and recorded a save.

Saturday | Loss: The Dodgers lost 7-1 to the Brewers. Offensively, the team was very quiet. Yasmani Grandal had a double while Kike Herandez had the only RBI of the game. Kike Hernandez hit a sacrifice fly, while Justin Turner and Jimmy Rollins grounded into double plays. The team left one men on base.

Defensively, the team did well. Yasiel Puig had an outfueld assist and the team turned a 4-6-3 double play. Brandon Beachy started the game and pitched four innings. He gave up three runs, five hits, three walks, and struck out two batters. He was charged with the loss.

Sunday | Win: The Dodgers won 4-3. The offense did pretty well. Jimmy Rollins, Justin Turner and Joc Pederson all had doubles while AJ Ellis and Adrian Gonzalez had homeruns. Justin Turner, AJ Ellis, and Adrian Gonzalez had the RBI's of the night; Justin Turner had a two-out RBI. The team left six men on base.

Defensively, the Dodgers did well. The team turned a 5-4-3 double play. Brett Anderson started the game and pitched seven innings. He gave up three runs, eight hits, two homeruns, and struck out three batters. Pedro Baez pitched the eighth inning and was awarded the win. Kenley Jansen pitched the ninth and recorded a save.

The Dodgers next series is against the Washington Nationals in Washington DC after the All-Star break.
