Series Recap: Texas Rangers 6/15 - 6/18
The Dodgers lost three of four against the Rangers in a split-location series.

Monday (@ Rangers) | Loss: The Dodgers lost 4-1. Offensively, the team didn't do too well. Justin Turner had a homerun and Yasmani Grandal had a solo homerun; he also had the only RBI. Andre Ethier and Adrian Gonzalez grounded into double plays and Jimmy Rollins was caught stealing. The team left six men on base.
Defensively, the team did okay. Yasmani Grandal had a past ball but the team turned a 4-6-3 double play. Carlos Frias started the game and pitched 5.1 innings. He gave up four runs, five hits, three walks and struck out four batters. He was charged with the loss.
Tuesday (@ Rangers) | Loss: The Dodgers lost 3-2 to close the first half of this series. Offensively, the team was quite again with only Justin Turner scoring the two runs from a two-run homerun. The team left seven men on base.
Defensively, the team did well. The team turned two double plays; a 6-5-3 and a 5-4-3 double play. Brett Anderson started the game and pitched eight innings. He gave up two runs, eight hits, three walks, and struck out four. Josh Ravin pitched the ninth and gave up the winning run; he was charged with the loss.
Wednesday (@Dodgers) | Loss: The Dodgers lost to the Rangers 5-3. The offense was a bit louder but not enough to get the job done. Yasiel Puig, Scott Van Slyke, AJ Ellis, and Kike Hernandez all had doubles while Scott Van Slyke had a homerun. Scott Van Slyke and Alex Guerrero had RBI's and Clayton Kershaw had a sacrifice bunt. Andre Ethier grounded into a double play and the team left
Defensively, the Dodgers alright. AJ Ellis had a past ball, however Chris Heisey had an outfield assist. The team turned a 6-4-3 double play and Clayton Kershaw had a pickoff. Clayton Kershaw started the game and pitched six innings. He gave up four runs, five hits, one homerun, one walk and struck out ten batters. He was charged with the loss.
Thursday (@Dodgers) | Won: The Dodgers beat the Rangers 1-0 to avoid a sweep. Offensively, the team was very quiet with Yasiel Puig getting the only extra-base hit; a triple. Zack Greinke hit a sacrifice bunt but Alberto Collaspo grounded into a double play. The team left seven men on base.
Defensively, the Dodgers did pretty well. Andre Ethier had an outfield assist. Zack Greinke started the game and pitched seven innings. He gave up four hits and struck out eight batters. Kenley Jansen pitched the ninth and was awarded the win.
The Dodgers next series is against the San Francisco Giants in Los Angeles.
